Polish & Pan is Hokitika’s newest hands-on gold panning and jade carving experience, celebrating the heritage of the West Coast. Guests step back into the gold-rush era, learn traditional panning techniques, and uncover guaranteed real West Coast gold to take home. Our jade workshop invites visitors to select a local pounamu stone, shape it, polish it, and wear their finished piece the same day.
