Cycle Nelson is the new name for two well-loved businesses, Gentle Cycling and Nelson Cycle Hire. By bringing them together, we’ve created one place where every rider can find their way—whether that’s an easy vineyard cruise, a day exploring Nelson’s cycle trails, or a bucket-list mountain bike adventure.

We welcome all kinds of riders. Families wanting to explore together. Visitors keen to discover the region at their own pace. Adaptive riders proving that cycling is for everyone. And those chasing legendary rides like Wairoa Gorge or the Old Ghost Road.

What hasn’t changed is our local knowledge, friendly support, and care for the places we ride. From maintaining gear to guiding trips, we focus on making it easy, safe, and memorable. At the same time, we give back to the land through conservation projects and community action—because these trails and landscapes are worth looking after.
